Kersey Master Contract & Infrastructure Assessment

« Return to Project Search

As part of its general engineering services as the town engineer for the Town of Kersey, Ayres is completing an initial project that will assess the Town’s infrastructure and provide a capital improvement project plan, along with additional as-needed projects to cover town engineer functions, development review, and maintenance and operations. Services over the life of the contract may include the design of streets, trails, and park facilities; water supply and distribution; wastewater collection and treatment; storm drainage; and municipal planning support.

A key priority in kicking off this project was establishing a baseline geographic information system (GIS) for the Town in an effort to assess current infrastructure and aid in planning future improvements. Ayres successfully converted the Town’s wastewater and water distribution systems to GIS from static paper maps. Also provided was a base layer geodatabase including regional address, parcel, district, and imagery layers. The utilities and base layers will serve as the new point of reference for all mapping and spatial analysis as the Town continues modernizing its capital project program and asset management efforts.
