Central High School Riske Field Renovations

« Return to Project Search

After acceptance of the North Grandstand Conceptual Study and Feasibility Study, Laramie County School District No. 1 elected to proceed with the design and construction of new grandstands at Riske Field. Ayres was retained to complete the construction drawings for the new grandstands and the site.

The final design includes a grandstand system supported by a drilled pier foundation; seating for 1,504 spectators; and a new building that includes restrooms, concessions, a ticket window, and an IT room. A subconsultant designed the building as part of this project. Additional site improvements include new sidewalk, emergency access, pedestrian lighting, a scoreboard, and improvements to the existing storm sewer system. Construction took place in 2015.

Central High School previously did not have an on-site facility large enough to host graduation and needed to use an off-site location for graduation. This project allowed the class of 2015 to graduate on site at Riske Field.
