Palatka Water Reuse System Expansion

« Return to Project Search

Ayres provided engineering services for the expansion of the reclaimed water reuse pump station to a 2.5-million-gallons-per-day facility, along with transmission/distribution systems. The reclaimed water serves areas next to the existing wastewater effluent holding pond at the City of Palatka Municipal Golf Course. The project included designing approximately 14,900 linear feet of 16-inch PVC reclaimed water main in existing roadway corridors and a 350-linear-foot, 20-inch horizontal directional drill at SR 19, a seven-lane urban roadway.

The preliminary engineering phase determined the number of reuse sites, preliminary layout of the reuse transmission/distribution piping and pump station, and estimated volume of reuse available to be irrigated at the proposed sites. The design phase included preparation of construction plans and specifications for the implementation of the reuse pumping station, reuse piping, and selected reuse site irrigation systems as determined in the preliminary engineering phase.
