Titusville is a city of about 44,000 about 135 miles south of our Jacksonville office and about 135 miles east of our Tampa office. It is nicknamed “Space City, USA,” as it lies just west of Kennedy Space Center. The city grew as Cape Canaveral and later Kennedy Space Center led to rapid population growth in the 1960s. The city still benefits from tourism relating to the space program. The TICO Warbird Air Show draws 40,000 to 50,000 visitors each March, and aerospace companies remain significant employers here. Our staff’s work keeps them closer to the ground, including providing structural inspection and design and transportation design.
When our Titusville staff members need some R&R, the nearby Canaveral National Seashore beckons. It includes Playalinda Beach and is home to more than 1,000 plant species and 310 bird species. Tropical and temperate species coexist in the Indian River Lagoon that straddles the transition zone between colder temperatures and warmer sub-tropical areas. Birding, manatee observation, fishing, hunting, boating, and kayaking abound in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge’s coastal dunes, saltwater estuaries and marshes, freshwater impoundments, and wooded areas.
