Ayres assisted the City in winning the CDBG for Public Facilities grant, which provided $497,010 in funding.

The 5th Street and Michigan Avenue projects involved total reconstruction, including water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and roadway. The 2nd Street project comprised sanitary sewer and roadway work. The Vermont Avenue and Greenwood Lane segments involved only pulverizing and repaving the roadway.

Services included topographic design survey, cost estimates, grant administration, preliminary and final design documents, bidding services, and construction observation.
