Tampa International Airport Airside F Renovations

« Return to Project Search

Our team provided civil engineering, stormwater, and site utilities services for the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority’s additions and renovations project at Airside F of the Tampa International Airport. We were part of a design-build team that involved close coordination with the architect, contractor, and owner.

The site design included permitting with the Southwest Florida Water Management District, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the City of Tampa. The water and fire mains were designed to service the building while demolishing the least possible amount of existing parking area. We designed the site ingress/egress to accommodate cars, delivery trucks, garbage trucks, and passenger pickup vehicles such as buses. Part of the site design included modeling the driveway turning radiuses to facilitate delivery trucks in a unique area of the site that made the trucks virtually invisible to airport passengers. The stormwater was designed to collect in roof drains and manholes and then be directed into the existing stormwater facility. This design also included an erosion control plan, including a stormwater pollution prevention plan.
