University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Welcome Center
« Return to Project SearchThe University of Wisconsin System retained Ayres to provide a predesign study and design services for the Welcome Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. UW-Eau Claire’s goal was to create an iconic and welcoming “WOW” statement on a prominent corner on campus. The building will serve prospective students on the lower level and alumni on the upper level and will serve as a beacon and focal point for the east end of the campus mall. Services involved a predesign concept report with conceptual renderings, a series of public meetings, final design, construction documents, and bidding and contract administration. Design aspects completed by Ayres included architectural, interior, and site/civil design; landscape architecture; and survey. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2020 on the two-story, 14,000-square-foot building.
