UW-Stout Memorial Student Center Renovations

« Return to Project Search

The University of Wisconsin-Stout’s dated student center was transformed into a welcoming, state-of-the-art facility that fosters learning, community, interaction, and collaboration among students, faculty, staff, and the community. With the goal of meeting the community’s changing needs, our team worked with many stakeholders and user groups to design the reconfigured space.

The facility includes many multipurpose spaces, including offices, study and educational venues, conference/training rooms, an information center, dining/lounge areas, and the campus bookstore. The building incorporates cutting edge technology and flexibility and was designed to meet the State of Wisconsin’s sustainability guidelines. Infrastructure upgrades on the 106,000-square-foot project included HVAC, plumbing, electrical/lighting, telecommunications, fire protection, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility, resulting in a new level of comfort, safety, and energy efficiency.
