Rocky Branch Elementary School Addition & Remodel

« Return to Project Search

Our team designed two additions at Rocky Branch Elementary School totaling 7,800 square feet. The smaller one was a two-classroom addition in the fifth-grade wing that allowed for multiple flex classrooms strategically placed between grade levels to accommodate larger grade sizes. A large multi-purpose room, Kids Club office/storage, physical education storage, and restrooms were added near the existing gymnasium/cafeteria. The new multi-purpose room functions as the cafeteria during the day, allowing the gym to be freed up for physical education classes all day.

Additional building improvements include flooring replacement throughout the high-traffic hallway, new carpet and paint in the media center and main office; building-wide plumbing equipment upgrades to improve energy efficiency; maintenance and repair of exterior finishes; installation of dehumidification in the gymnasium and kitchen wing; expansion of existing restrooms in the fourth- and fifth-grade wing; and the repurposing of an existing classroom into a dedicated occupational therapy/physical therapy space.
