Gresham School Referendum

« Return to Project Search

Ayres assisted the Gresham School District with pre-referendum information gathering and referendum planning. This included assessing the School District’s needs and conducting a facility study of its current K-12 building, identifying items that were not code-compliant. During this process our team toured other nearby school facilities with the Gresham stakeholders. These visits were an invaluable tool to help understand and clarify the district’s desired goals. The team was then able to identify programming deficiencies and building inefficiencies and reviewed important spatial adjacencies.

Ayres presented a building plan assessment to the School Board, outlining these modifications and their associated costs. After review we moved into designing conceptual plans for the addition and remodel. These visual graphics were used to gauge the level of support from the community through the referendum process. The referendum passed successfully in January 2019.
