JAMF Software Office Building Design

« Return to Project Search

When JAMF Software, creator of enterprise management software for the Apple platform, decided to establish a new office building in Eau Claire, it turned to Ayres for architecture that would invigorate employee collaboration and communicate the company’s dynamic and growing culture.

Ayres facilitated an integrated project delivery process that brought out the best in the designers, contractors, manufacturers, and owners. Using building information modeling (BIM) and fast-track project delivery, Ayres designed a new 72,000-square-foot, four-story office building with basement and mechanical penthouse. Design services were completed in just three months. Construction was completed by the fall of 2014.

The four-story glass lantern on the northwest, the observatory on the south, and the town hall on the fourth floor provide ample opportunities for break-away areas with natural daylighting and transparency. Three floor levels have free-flowing layouts of low-profiled workstations in a high-ceilinged, exposed precast concrete-structured space. Dry-erase coatings on the walls provide platforms for impromptu brainstorming sessions, designed to capture sketches, formulas, and team members’ thoughts.

Ayres’ site development services for this project include site/civil and landscape architectural design; environmental services for contaminated soils remediation and coordination with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources; ALTA survey; and coordination of the City review and approval process.
