Pottery Plaza
Pottery Plaza, Edgerton, WI
The Pottery Plaza project was focused on developing a terminus to the “front yard” area of Edgerton’s newly constructed City Hall. Work consisted of transitioning an existing lawn into a public amenity that expressed the local vernacular materials and architectural forms.
The final design successfully integrated an existing overhead powerline (hence the shape of the building), multiple sightlines to highlight specific views, varied seating opportunities, signage, and an iconic pottery sculpture. The civic nature of the building was translated into a unique community identity that expresses its historical story while maintaining a focus on the future.
