I have well over a decade of experience in a broad range of projects, including athletic complexes, K-12 and higher education campuses, resorts, state and local parks, National Park Service master planning, green infrastructure master planning, trails, river restorations, streetscaping, and urban revitalization.
As a versatile landscape architect, I have overseen projects from preliminary concept stages to final site supervisions. As a project manager, I've been responsible for design development, project coordination, client liaison, public meetings, and construction administration. I am committed to developing the skills of my fellow professionals, having become a recognized mentor.
I'm also committed to moving my profession forward through involvement in the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Colorado chapter, including serving as president in 2018. I've led many sketch crawl events and have taught sketch workshops, including through ASLA and university events around the country. Sketching is my passion. It's a great way of connecting with place and capturing insights that a camera misses. I use sketching during charrettes to visually facilitate public input; that makes real-time review and analysis possible as ideas are shared.
