Dane CTH PD Pedestrian Bridge & Retaining Wall

« Return to Project Search

Dane CTH PD (McKee Road) in Madison was reconstructed to an urban boulevard arterial with four vehicular travel lanes, two bike lanes, sidewalk, terrace, and curb and gutter. As part of the design team, Ayres designed a new multi-use path bridge over CTH PD for the Ice Age Junction Path system. The bridge is a 131-foot-long single-span prefabricated steel bowstring truss bridge with decorative railing and architectural surface treatments. Ayres also designed more than 1,200 feet of cast-in-place concrete retaining wall and a box culvert extension.
