Ayres Adds Experienced Survey Leader in Fort Collins

Ayres recently welcomed Chris DePaulis, PLS, as land survey supervisor in the firm’s Fort Collins, Colorado, office. Chris leads land survey efforts there, overseeing project delivery, supporting business development, mentoring staff, and helping grow the region’s survey services.

Chris brings nearly 30 years of experience in land surveying and project leadership. Throughout his career, he has worked on a broad range of survey projects, including construction, civil infrastructure, energy, and pipeline developments. His experience includes managing large, complex survey programs and leading teams responsible for delivering surveying services across multiple states.

A licensed professional land surveyor in Colorado and Minnesota, Chris is known for his collaborative approach, responsiveness, and commitment to delivering quality results for clients. He has extensive experience managing projects, developing teams, and maintaining strong client relationships.

“Chris brings the leadership, technical expertise, and relationship-building skills we were looking for in this role,” said Dale Mathison, PE, manager of the SUE & Survey group. “He’s passionate about surveying, enjoys working closely with people, and is committed to developing both clients and staff relationships. His addition reenergizes our local survey team and strengthens our ability to support clients throughout the region.”

Chris will work closely with clients while helping expand survey services that support utility engineering, transportation, municipal, water resources, stormwater, landscape architecture, land development, and other infrastructure projects throughout Colorado.

“A cornerstone of successful surveying is communication,” Chris said. “I believe in being responsive, dependable, and transparent with clients. Whether it’s schedules, budgets, or potential challenges, I want clients to have the information they need so projects can move forward successfully.”

Chris holds an associate’s degree in construction engineering and bachelor’s degree in surveying engineering from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan.
