Christina Hiegel, PE, business development specialist and senior engineer, was awarded the Regional Vice President’s Medal for Outstanding Service to the Society of American Military Engineers.

This prestigious award was presented this summer in recognition of Hiegel’s participation and leadership in putting together the month-long SAME Colossal Colorado Industry Event and development of the Spirit of the West – Wyoming program featuring speakers from the Wyoming Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, the Wyoming Energy Authority, the Wyoming Integrated Testing Center, and the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce/Global Based Strategic Deterrent Initiative.

Hiegel, who is based in our Cheyenne office, focuses on identifying opportunities where Ayres’ brownfield redevelopment strategists, urban planners, and landscape architects can put their mix of skills to use for clients with environmental and planning challenges that need creative solutions.

Hiegel has 19 years of experience as a civil/environmental engineer, data quality expert, and project manager. She has managed large teams and has a passion for mentorship. Her work ethic and conscientious devotion to clients over the long haul fits well with Ayres’ culture of integrity and long-term relationships.
