Ayres provided a forensic investigation of the cause of scour and bank instability at the US 183 bridge over Boggy Creek in Austin, Texas. Our team evaluated the design of the cutoff wall and bank stabilization and developed stream stability design plans for mitigation. The project involved site hydrologic analysis, 1D HEC-RAS hydraulic modeling, scour analyses, and a detailed geomorphic assessment including aerial photography and historic data. The final report included the analyses, professional opinion, and design recommendations.
