Bill Honea, PG, recently was promoted to the next level of project management at Ayres. Based in Green Bay, Honea is a geologist within the Development Services Division’s environmental team.

Honea has over 11 years of experience in environmental consulting and has a strong regulatory compliance background. He has conducted Phase 1 and 2 environmental site assessments; groundwater monitoring; brownfield site investigations; and regulatory reporting for federal, state, and private clients. His promotion provides him greater autonomy and project leadership opportunities.

Honea has prepared work plans, health and safety plans, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits, and monitoring reports, and he has provided technical support for municipal water, wastewater, gas, and electrical system operations. This technical support includes environmental sampling, air permitting, stormwater permitting, Tier 2 reporting, auditing, training, and emergency oil spill response. Honea’s field experience includes soil, groundwater, vapor, concrete, and asbestos sampling, and he provides permitting and construction oversight services for landfills.

Honea facilitates collaboration and communication with clients, peers, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors.

“Clients rely on Bill’s depth and breadth of environmental expertise and his commitment to accuracy, and he delivers results that they can stake their projects on,” says Keely Campbell, PG, manager of development services in the Midwest. “Clients will be seeing even more of Bill, and I look forward to even more of the positive feedback he’s already generating.”

Honea is a professional geologist with licensure in Wisconsin and Arizona, and he holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Tennessee.
