Ashby Promoted to VP of Development Services

We are thrilled to announce that Matt Ashby, AICP, is being promoted to vice president of Ayres’ Development Services Division. Ashby has taken a leading role in growing Ayres’ integrated planning, environmental, and landscape architecture services since he joined Ayres nearly seven years ago.

Ashby brings the executive leadership experience, innovation, and visionary perseverance that will deliver inspiring service to clients and continued growth in Development Services. Ashby has years of leadership experience from his previous employment as director of the City of Cheyenne’s Planning Services Department, where he was responsible for 30+ team members. He’s grown our Development Services West operations from a staff of one to now eight full-time staff.

Ashby will continue that growth in the West, as well as nurturing our upstart planning and landscape architecture operations in Florida. In the Midwest, Ashby plans to assist the vibrant environmental, landscape architecture, and planning services a truly integrated team for development innovation.

“Other firms provide planning, environmental, and landscape architecture services, but Ayres has a unique recipe that uses funding assistance and environmental expertise to light the fire for development, followed immediately by the planning and diverse design expertise to drive dreams forward to reality,” Ashby says. “My passion is customizing that recipe to match the distinctive flavor in each community.”

Educated at the University of Colorado, Ashby holds dual master’s degrees in urban design and urban and regional planning and a bachelor’s degree in environmental design. He holds planning and urban design certifications from the American Institute of Certified Planners.

As an accountant, I still don’t know how he does it!”
