Hoan Bridge Traffic Analysis and Traffic Management Plan

« Return to Project Search

Ayres provided preliminary traffic analysis for the Hoan Bridge project, including evaluating existing traffic along I-794 over the Hoan Bridge and lane requirements for the 20-year (2035) and 40-year (2055) projected traffic volumes. HCS and Paramics software were used to analyze the feasibility of reducing travel lanes along the Hoan Bridge, and a summary of findings was compiled to include with the draft feasibility study for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Under a subsequent contract, Ayres completed a Transportation Management Plan (TMP) to outline how traffic flow will be handled during construction work relating to replacement of the deck on the Hoan Bridge. This work included a public information meeting and multiple stakeholder meetings.

The overall IH 794/Hoan Bridge project, whose construction wrapped up in 2015, won a Top Projects of 2015 award from The Daily Reporter of Milwaukee.
