Mike Rogney, PE, recently joined Ayres’ Water Resources Group after serving as a water management engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for 10 years. His experience includes a comprehensive understanding of the rules and implementation of Wisconsin’s dam safety, floodplain, waterway, and wetland programs, as well as the National Flood Insurance Program.

Rogney provides engineering analysis of dams and other physical alterations of surface waters; dam design, repair, and rehabilitation; dam abandonment and removals; dam inspections; emergency response; fisheries and waterfowl habitat design; and hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.

“Ayres has a solid reputation for knowing – and following – the regulations and processes that govern how projects get approvals and get done,” says Anthony Alvarado, PE, CFM, vice president. “With his public sector experience, Mike brings peace of mind to our clients because he knows what boxes need to be checked.”

Rogney is a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin and holds a bachelor’s degree in biological systems engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
