MacDill Airforce Base Marina and Boat Ramp Renovation

« Return to Project Search

Our team provided scientific and engineering support for this 22-slip marina and boat ramp renovation design-build project at MacDill Airforce Base in Tampa. The marina and boat launch were damaged by Hurricane Debbie, rendering many of the pilings and floating docks unusable. This project included a full replacement of the marina, changing from aluminum to concrete floating docks and reconstructing the docks associated with the boat launch.

We provided the environmental assessment, including analysis of the protected environmental resources, listed species, submerged aquatic vegetation, impact to mangroves, and manatee protection. We also developed the permit narratives to submit to the Tampa Port Authority to thoroughly address all assessments performed, constructability issues, exemptions from regulations, and public interest issues. This work was done in an extremely short time frame.
