Forest CTH C Reconditioning

« Return to Project Search

The Forest County Highway Department retained Ayres to design the reconditioning of 11.1 miles of Forest CTH C, including raising the grade and installing new drainage pipes as part of the reconstruction of one intersection.

Ayres provided survey, environmental documentation, and preliminary and final roadway design. The project required extensive agency coordination with Forest County, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe.

Nimble design changes in reaction to WDNR concerns about moonwart plants and painted turtle road crossing issues kept the design process moving right along. Our ability to turn out quality plans in a compressed time frame allowed the County to procure Forest Service funding ahead of several other projects that had been in the funding process longer.
