I draw from over three decades of landscape architecture experience with public and private sector clients. I am a leader in the sustainable design movement and low-impact design initiatives and have written landscape and water conservation irrigation ordinances on the local and state level to promote native plants and create a balance between development projects and the natural ecology of their sites.
My focus is on aesthetically pleasing landscapes that provide form and function and are easily and inexpensively maintained without insecticides and fertilizers. I work with governmental entities to reduce long-term maintenance costs, increase biodiversity, and ensure that projects enhance local ecology, establish a sense of place, and enhance the vitality and connectivity of communities and businesses.
My specializations include:
- Healthcare, education, and commercial campuses
- Complete streets/streetscaping
- Greenways and trails
- Park design
- Low-impact development
- Public involvement
- Ordinance writing & land development code revisions
