Serving the Mining Industry

Ayres Associates does not come to your mining project with a narrow view or a limited set of capabilities. Our multi-specialty staff has built relationships with clients and regulators in all the following disciplines:

Environmental Management: Ayres Associates' project team can provide all the necessary environmental expertise and equipment to meet your needs and deadlines. Our projects have included public involvement on controversial projects; wetland delineations and stream assessments; frac sand prospecting and mapping; drilling soil borings and installing monitor wells; soil sampling and screening; groundwater sampling; remedial design; regulatory communication; and NEPA compliance reports. Our staff members regularly communicate with regulatory agencies and understand regulatory processes. Communicating with these agencies early reduces our clients' future environmental risks and expenses and improves project efficiency.

Geospatial Services: Ayres Associates’ geospatial division has managed thousands of mapping projects, ranging from small site mapping to multi-county regional projects. We’ve developed successful relationships with quarry and mining firms and all levels of government. We have unique access to and knowledge of this highly accurate, detailed imagery and other data that will benefit your projects.

Site Development: Site design is an integral part of facility design. We provide the services needed to create a functional, attractive site. Among the settings in which we have provided site development are frac sand processing facilities, business parks, and individual businesses.

Stormwater Management: Stormwater management has become a big concern for developers and industries. Regulations control the quantity and quality of stormwater runoff leaving a site. Given the many local, state, and federal regulations, how do you determine what must be done? Ayres Associates has the answer, based on 30-plus years of stormwater management expertise ranging from small plans for construction sites to elaborate master plans for large urban areas.

Our groundwater experience and expertise includes basin-wide resource characterization, water supply and monitoring well design and construction supervision, aquifer exploration and testing, groundwater modeling, and design of groundwater drainage systems for controlling nuisance groundwater. We are proficient in numerous hydrologic methods and models, including very detailed and complex computer modeling.
