HARRINGTON BEACH STATE PARK CAMPGROUND

Harrington Beach State Park beachgoers, hikers, stargazers, and bird watchers now have the option of enjoying a multi-day stay at the park in southeastern Wisconsin, thanks to a new campground, the first the State has built in more than 20 years.

The use of the latest technology in LiDAR (light detection and ranging) data collection instead of a conventional topographic survey saved time and money on the project. LiDAR produced mapping that the State can use for future project planning and also to print high-quality display images. This process was suggested and implemented on other campground construction projects since the Harrington Beach project.
