For years the Village of Ashwaubenon in eastern Wisconsin had to worry about water quality and quantity.  When the Village agreed to become one of the City of Green Bay’s water customers, it paved the way for improvements that allow water to be transported 30 miles to ensure a more reliable, safe water supply for both communities.

About six miles of that path had special challenges: installation of supply piping through established neighborhoods and under the Fox River.  The latter required careful engineering by Ayres Associates to avoid disturbing a river bottom with harmful contaminants.

Despite its complexity, the project was completed under budget and on schedule – all without disturbing the action at one of the state’s top attractions: Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers.
