CTH RK and CTH J Construction Observation

As part of the STH 29 and US 41 interchange reconstruction effort, this project involved construction observation for creation of a new CTH RK from CTH J to Packerland Drive, a total length of 0.7 mile, and reconstruction of 0.7 mile of CTH J to eliminate the at-grade intersection of STH 29 and CTH J. Included were storm sewer; concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveway; stamped and colored concrete; single- and double-faced concrete barrier wall; HMA pavement; street lighting; erosion control; signing; pavement marking; storm sewer detention ponds; and landscaping.

The project involves constructing a new structure along CTH RK over Duck Creek with Native American architectural surface treatment; two new structures on STH 29 over CTH J using accelerated bridge construction (ABC) methods; a noise wall with architectural surface treatment; three retaining walls with architectural surface treatment; a single-lane roundabout; and a new entrance into Pamperin Park.
