Tom was appointed president of Ayres Associates in 2010. He joined Ayres Associates in 1993 and brings 26 years of experience as a civil engineer, vice president, and executive vice president to his current role. Tom was promoted to municipal services group manager in 1999 and to engineering services vice president in 2001. He was selected as an executive vice president in 2008. Tom is the principal executive officer of the corporation and supervises and controls its business affairs. He presides at meetings of the shareholders and board of directors. He is responsible for the formulation of medium- and long-range business plans for the firm, for devising the philosophy and goals of the practice, and for the successful monitoring and execution of these goals. Tom is responsible for identifying trends and conditions that could affect the ability of the firm to meet long-range goals, working closely with the executive vice presidents.
Tom also oversees human resources and the architecture and Wisconsin engineering services operations.
