Position requires a Wisconsin Registered Land Surveyor
registration, previous experience managing multiple survey
projects, and a valid driver’s license with a good driving
record. Registration in other states, particularly Minnesota,
beneficial. The ideal candidate will be experienced in state of
the art surveying practices and interested in researching and
investigating new techniques to provide innovative methods and
ideas to accomplish tasks. |

Schedules and directs the work
of survey staff to meet project objectives. Provides overall
guidance to the Survey group. Working effectively with our
other regional offices by work sharing on a variety of surveying
and mapping tasks will be expected. Successful candidate will
be expected to actively pursue continuing education, training,
or professional development activities to remain current with
industry standards.
Applies
sound technical skills and knowledge of surveying, mapping,
engineering and construction practices to complete survey
projects. Types of work consist of construction staking; design
surveys including transportation, utility, municipal,
environmental and site development; photogrammetry ground
control; land surveys including ALTA, CSM, subdivision plats and
WisDOT right of way plats. Follows OSHA required safety
practices.
Serves in a project management role
for the survey component of in house or external projects by
assisting engineering staff in scope development, budget, fee,
schedule and execution. Serves as the primary communication
link between survey staff and the client. Implements QA/QC
practices for final survey deliverables. |
