The ideal
candidate will have a minimum of a two-year degree in Land
Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology or a four-year degree in
Land Surveying. Must have at least three years of drafting
experience with a background in the preparation of transportation
right-of-way plats and other surveying documents. Proficiency in
Civil 3D preferred. Previous field experience as a Survey
Technician a plus. Valid driver’s license and good driving record
required. This position may be filled in either Madison or Green
Bay, WI.
Works under the
direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor in the
preparation of a variety of Land Surveying documents. Tasks
include research, plat and map preparation, computing of
boundaries and preparing legal descriptions. Will work in the
field occasionally as workload requires by assisting a Survey Crew
Chief and taking assignment of minor surveying projects. Is
responsible for adhering to OSHA and required safety practices.
Position may require overtime and out-of-town travel. Physical
requirements include walking over uneven terrain and lifting up to
50 lbs.
