Qualified candidate must be a Florida registered Professional
Engineer with a degree in civil engineering (advance degree
preferred) and an emphasis on roadway, stormwater, and utilities
design. Position requires at least 15 years of combined successful
experience in highway planning/design and project management.
Strong technical background in Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) plans production experience and at least 6
years of transportation project management experience required.
Primary experience with FDOT Districts 1 and 7 as well as
Specifications and Plans Processing a must. Secondary experience
with local government (cities and counties) transportation and
stormwater projects is a plus. Candidate must have a working
knowledge of GEOPAK and MicroStation as well as various design
software applicable to FDOT projects execution. Valid driver’s
license with good driving record required. The ideal candidate
must have excellent people skills and be a self motivated,
performance driven, team player. Proven business development
skills and a client following required.
Successful candidate will be expected to manage profitable
transportation projects, perform design/project management duties
for transportation projects, and be actively involved in business
development and proposal preparation. Duties will include
preparation/negotiation of man-hour and fee proposals, as well as
providing quality project deliverables on time and budget.
