The ideal candidate will have BS degree in civil or transportation engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience. Georgia P.E. and experience with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Electronic Data Guidelines, Plan Development Process, and Plan Presentation Guide required.  Certification in GDOT PDP, CES, and experience with urban and rural transportation projects with local governments desirable.  Familiarity with project document production including reports, design standards, and CAD experience (including MicroStation, CAiCE and InRoads) required.


Successful candidate will represent the company to our clients through performing project management duties and leading design for transportation projects.  Position will include business development, proposal development, client contacts, contract preparation, scheduling, subconsultant coordination.  Position will be responsible for all project finances including budget, monitoring, billing, and collections.  Duties may include the design of transportation facilities (interstate highway, urban and rural reconstruction, minor widening, milling and resurfacing, and intersection improvement), drainage analysis studies, water resources projects and/or utility projects.  Must be knowledgeable of various engineering software applications and have the ability to learn quickly.  Additional responsibilities will include preparing reports, plans, estimates, and specifications, researching design standards and code requirements, and conducting field investigation of design problems. Design duties include the use of computer programs in the design of projects; preparation of reports, plans, and specifications; and field construction services.
