Bridge Inspector certification, technical writing skills for
preparation of inspection reports and an understanding of
inspection codes and standards required. Qualified candidate will
have experience inspecting structures such as bridges, culverts,
and overhead signs. Experience with both underwater and climbing
inspections a plus. Position will be approximately 65% in the
field and 35% in the office. Ability to travel within Florida and
throughout the country, sometimes for as long as two weeks at a
time, will be required. |
Applies sound
practices and principles in bridge, culvert and overhead sign
inspections. Participates in the inspection program, performing
field inspections, Pontis coding, QA/QC reviews and report
documentation. Compiles information needed for comments and
response from client. Consults with project manager and project
engineers concerning deficiencies on the structure for appropriate
action. Coordinates inspection details directly with project
managers, technicians, and clerical staff during preliminary and
final report preparation in order to ensure quality and
conformance standards.
