Construction engineering duties will include field
layout of projects, quantity measurements and computations, record
keeping, contractor pay estimate preparation and review of
contractor progress; processing of change orders materials;
materials testing; field staking and general inspection under the
supervision of the Resident Engineer. Interprets construction
drawings and specifications and takes appropriate actions to
ensure project is constructed in conformance with the requirements
of the project construction contract. Maintains client relations
while in the field. May assist with design engineering duties
under the supervision of the Project Manager. Responsibilities
may include preparing reports, plans, and specifications,
researching design standards and code requirements, and conducting
field investigation of design problems.
Successful candidates may be offered
transfer/promotion opportunities to transportation engineering
groups in Florida, Georgia, and/or Arizona in future years. |
