Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering specializing in water resources and will have at least ten years of relevant experience. Masters degree in related field is desirable. Background in the analysis and design of drainage and flood control facilities and experience with standard 1- and 2-dimensional hydraulic models is highly desirable. Prior work experience should include SWMM, UDSewer, HEC-RAS, FEMA floodplain and CLOMR / LOMR process and water resource design and construction. Transportation, water – wastewater and general municipal engineering experience a plus. Candidate should be a licensed PE in Colorado and a Certified Floodplain Manager with a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
This position involves working with experienced engineers in a variety of areas including: hydraulic modeling and design, urban drainage design, surface runoff and river modeling, floodplain analysis, flood control, stream restoration, river engineering, sedimentation and erosion analysis and design, storm water systems, trenchless rehabilitation, water supply and distribution, sanitary sewers, and other public infrastructure.
