Civil/Site Engineer (Entry Level) #1750

This position is an exciting career opportunity for an entry level civil engineer to join our senior civil engineering staff in support of our Landscape Architecture design studio in our Madison, Wisconsin office. You will join a strong professional team in a collaborative atmosphere to support design efforts on a variety of projects. The selected candidate can expect to participate in general site civil design, including land development or redevelopment projects. Projects may include utilities, roads, water and sewer, stormwater management, parks and trails and site development.

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering
  • 0 to 5 years of experience designing municipal and land development projects
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D
  • Construction administration and site investigation experience
  • Hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and modeling coursework or experience
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and with other team members
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record

 

Responsibilities

Assists with:

  • Site and civil design plans
  • Calculating and preparing engineering documents in accordance with the latest prevailing codes
  • Performing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and stormwater management plans
  • Field construction observation
  • Preparing permit applications and submittals
