Civil or Municipal Project Manager #1756

Ayres Associates’ Municipal Engineers have been serving Wisconsin communities for over 50 years.  We are seeking an assertive Project Manager who has a strong desire to grow with us.  You’ll join a talented technical staff of 30 in our Green Bay office to lead design efforts, manage municipal/private client projects, develop proposals and expand our client base. Qualifications required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Wisconsin Professional Engineer registration
  • Demonstrated experience of at least 10 years in civil/municipal project work as well as with creating and maintaining working relationships with clients, funding partners and permitting agencies
  • Experience overseeing multiple design and construction projects for municipal clients
  • Ability to lead a team of technicians and engineers
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct effective client presentations
  • Ability to work effectively independently and with other team members in multiple offices
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal rules and regulations related to civil/municipal improvement projects
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record

 

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and lead team design efforts, prepare plans and specifications and cost estimates for municipal and private client projects including; water supply and distribution, sanitary sewers, wastewater treatment, storm water systems, streets and other public infrastructure
  • Coordinate and oversee construction activities on various types of projects
  • Manage the budget, financials, scope and deadlines of the project to ensure delivery of a quality product to our clients
  • Work with both private and public clients for various site development and municipal projects
  • Mentor current and future staff
  • Be active in a professional organization
  • Prepare scope and develop proposals, gather and analyze data on projects and prepare reports.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients
