Civil Engineer Project Manager #1742

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Four to eight years of civil engineering experience
  • Florida Professional Engineer registration (or sitting for it within six months)
  • Project management experience
  • Experienced in AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Basic knowledge of stormwater drainage design and related software (ASAD, ICPR and PONDS) preferred
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and with other team members
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required

 

Responsibilities:
  • Directs and/or designs plans, calculates and prepares engineering documents in accordance with the latest prevailing codes
  • Works on projects providing civil design, pavement design, civil site plans, design for sewer and water mains, roadway design, utility design, urban community and passive nature parks design and other designs as needed
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and stormwater management plans
  • Oversees project engineers and the CADD team
  • Prepares and monitors project budgets and is responsible for project schedules and the timely completion of projects
  • Works with both private and public clients for various site civil projects
  • Participates in presentations, interviews, and project and client meetings
  • Sells the services of Ayres Associates as a Project Manager; initiates and reviews proposals and sales activities; leads and participates in interviews, presentations and public hearings; and maintains positive relationships with current and past clients
  • Prepares permit applications and submittals
  • May serve as a designated client contact
  • Supervises the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials, and other outside agencies
  • Reviews plans, prepares or reviews technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates
  • Assures that the project team complies with the contract agreement and implements the approved design within the budget
  • Develops and mentors less experienced staff
