WDNR Grant Applications Due April 15th (January 2009)
Stormwater planning and stormwater treatment grant applications are now available from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. High-priority projects in urban areas are targeted. Grant applications are due on April 15.

Planning grants can fund stormwater planning for areas of existing development, new development or redevelopment, and preparation of local ordinances and evaluation of financing options for stormwater programs. In addition, the grants can fund the administrative costs to establish a stormwater utility program and public education programs.

Construction grants can fund construction of quantity detention and quality treatment, including detention basins, wet basins, infiltration trenches or basins, and wetland basins. Funding covers engineering design and construction services, as well as land acquisition and easement purchase costs. The grants can also fund streambank and shoreland stabilization projects.

Ayres Associates’ engineers, scientists, and grant specialists can help you through the grant application process, administer the grants, and provide the engineering and environmental work to accomplish your project goals.
